I'm opening founding spots for The Ancestral Journey this season — a small number, by invitation. It begins with a divination. Book yours →

Hello beautiful Soul!
I'm Robyn Howard. I'm 37, I'm a mother of four, and I'm inside this work — not above it.
My generation is the one burying parents right now. Watching parents fall. Trying to say the things we mean before the window closes. And raising children in the middle of all of it, wondering: when I'm gone, will they know how to find me?
That question brought me to Elder Malidoma Somé of the Dagara people fifteen years ago. It's what I carry into every session I hold.
I'm not teaching this from the mountain. I'm teaching it from the road.

The repair that didn't come in time.
The things you still can't say.
The parent who's still alive and every visit feels like a countdown and you don't know how to close the distance before it closes itself.
And underneath all of it, the fear you don't say out loud: "I don't want to hand this down to my kids. It ends with me."
That fear is not a flaw. It's a calling...
You're not just grieving a person.
You're grieving the relationship you were supposed to have with them.

"Most of the ills of modernity have to be traced down to what the status of the relationship to the ancestors is and you will shed light into what needs to be done"
- Ancestor Elder Malidoma Somé

The beginning.
We sit together with your lineage for ninety minutes — what was carried, what was never said, and where to start.
You'll leave with the actual root named. A clear picture of where the rupture lives. And a simple practice you can begin at your own kitchen table.
When you book a divination, you also get 30 days inside
The Lineage Rite — our private community where you'll find ongoing teachings, gentle practice reminders, and conversations with women who are deeper in this work.
No belief required.
No medicine.
No experience needed.
This is where everyone begins.

Four months of private work together — two sessions a month, guided ritualpractice between sessions, and a 3-day in-person Ancestral Integration Retreat.
This is not coaching. It’s a rite of passage.
You’ll move through four passages — Listening, Grieving, Crossing (the retreat),and Carrying — and build a Lineage Book across the four months: a guidedrecord of your journey that becomes a family document your children inherit.
The Lineage Rite is available by invitation only, to women who begin with a divination. The founding rate closes once the first cohort is complete.
Why I do it this way.
I could put an application form on this page. I choose not to.
The divination is where I learn who you are, what your lineage is carrying, and whether the four-month journey is the right container for you right now. It’s not a gatekeeping mechanism — it’s the only honest way I know to make sure the work will serve you.
If a divination reveals that you’re ready, I’ll say so. If the timing isn’t right, I’ll tell you that too. I don’t enroll people I can’t genuinely hold.
The founding rate exists because I’m building this from the ground up and I want the first women through to be part of shaping what it becomes — and to carry those founding prices as long as they stay in the work.
I am forever grateful for Robyn as a clear channel for the ancestors. Her transmission was deeply resonant, in mind-body-soul. I better understand: If we want the ancestors to stay close, then we must remain close to them—by listening closely. The insights were very helpful, and remarkably intimate. I feel clear that our work has helped to guide in me in the most fruitful and conscious direction. I am generally very cautious and discerning with any kind of divination, and I trust Robyn implicitly, who embodies compassionate, wise, and loving divine mother energy.

Elder Malidoma Some was a revered teacher and spiritual guide whose profound influence in the realm of ancestral divination has left a lasting legacy, particularly for those in the Western world seeking reconnection with their ancestral roots. Hailing from the Dagara tradition of Burkina Faso, Malidoma dedicated his life to bridging the gap between indigenous wisdom and contemporary spiritual practices.

His teachings emphasized the importance of connecting with ancestors as a means to access collective wisdom, healing, and personal empowerment. Malidoma highlighted how many in the Western world are often disconnected from their heritage, leading to feelings of isolation, confusion about identity, and a lack of direction. Through his work, he provided tools and frameworks for individuals to reclaim their ancestral narratives and integrate those insights into their lives.
Malidoma's approach to ancestral divination was rooted in the understanding that every individual carries the energy and stories of their ancestors. He believed that by engaging in divination practices, people could uncover hidden truths, heal generational wounds, and gain clarity about their life's purpose. His teachings encouraged participants to listen deeply to the wisdom of their ancestors, fostering a sense of belonging and community.

In addition to his focus on ancestral connection, Malidoma was a powerful advocate for the importance of rituals, storytelling, and cultural practices in maintaining spiritual health. His legacy is not only one of personal transformation but also of cultural reclamation, inspiring many to honor their heritage and integrate it into their daily lives.
As we continue to explore the teachings of Elder Malidoma Some, we carry forward his vision of a world where individuals can reconnect with their ancestors, heal from the past, and live authentically in the present. His work remains a guiding light for those seeking to rediscover their roots and cultivate a deeper understanding of their place in the continuum of life.
